I’m a Swedish/Australian photographer, gilder, painter and maker, living in Sydney, Australia.
I started taking pictures with my mothers Voigtländer camera when I was a young boy. I bought my first camera at the age of ten, a Practica Super TL made in the GDR, with monies saved over a period that seemed like an eternity. Not the greatest camera but I loved it. I realised then that I wanted to take pictures for a living.
Years later I was able to realise my dream and have been a commercial photographer, specialising in studio still life and food photography, for most of my working life and having had the good fortune to work with some very talented creative collaborators over the years.
Some years ago, I decided that I also wanted to pursue other interests that I have. Things I had not been able to spend much time doing, since operating a commercial studio consumed my life for many years, leaving little time for other things.
Things like gilding and painting and making stuff. I also built a motorcycle. I love working with my hands.
Alongside my other interests, my photographic focus (pardon the pun) is now on jewellery photography and my own fine art practice, as well as documenting art for other artists, collectors and commercial galleries.
Now I also have time for the other stuff...
